Where do the point girls come from?
In the beginning it was just friends. Then it turned into searching for local people on the various social media sites. Then it turned into friends of existing point girls. Now we often get contacted from actual fans of the show.
What kind of boats do you use?
As of 2026 we use a 14 Foot (1448) flat bottom jon boat made in the year 2025. The motor is a 2025 Mercury 20HP 4 stroke EFI. We also have a support jetski that is a Sea-Doo 2016 155 GTI Limited.
What do you do with the fish?
Sometimes we keep the eaters for food. Sometimes we keep the eaters for others. Sometimes we throw them back. We always let the 20+ lb fish go.
Where are you located?
We mostly operate out of Cromwell, Kentucky on the Green River.

Tell us about Cletus?
Cletus is a healthy, full blooded, male Boston Terrier. He was born in December 2020 on an Amish farm in Cub Run, Kentucky. He entered the show in the spring of 2021. He loves balls, riding in the truck and point girls. He hates storms, firecrackers and being told no.
How long do you plan to do the show?
We are year to year always.
What kind of cameras do you use?

Main: Canon C70 with 15-35 L Lens
Action: DJI Action 5 Pro
Drone: DJI Air 2s
Who controls the drone?
The captain controls the drone but the drone itself has its own autonomous features.
Who edits the videos?
Michael Horn edits everything using Premiere Pro.
Where do you get the music?
Most music is purchased and licensed thru Epidemic Sound. Some music is made custom from friends and other professionals.
Why don’t you wear life-jackets?
In the state of Kentucky (in our area) you are only required to have the life-jackets in your possession. When solo we do wear life-jackets (off camera). The jetski is life-jacket required.
Can you get something soft for their knees?
Although it may not look like it… the front of the boat has had some kind of foam padding for years.
Unwritten rules?
When the captain's hat is removed the angels sing.
Catching 3 fish equals free dinner/lunch for point.
No fishing poles other than cane poles.
Captain and Silent Dan have fish count competitions.
No speaking on politics or religion.
